Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
1. The short version
We only collect the information you choose to give us when you ask for a quote or contact us, we use it purely to deal with your enquiry and carry out the work, and we never sell it or hand it to marketers. Given the sensitive nature of the situations we attend, discretion is built into how we handle information as well as how we clean.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Newcastle Bio Team ("we", "us") provides specialist biohazard and hazardous cleaning services across Newcastle upon Tyne. We act as the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us about anything data related at [email protected] or on 0191 666 0378.
3. What we collect and when
When you send our quote form or email us, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about the situation at the property. When you phone us, we may note the same details so we can act on the call. If we carry out work for you, we also hold the job records the law requires, such as waste transfer documentation.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers on it.
4. Why we are allowed to use it
UK data protection law requires a lawful basis for using personal information. Ours are: taking steps you ask for before entering a contract (responding to your enquiry and quoting), performing the contract (doing the work), and legal obligation (waste documentation and business records). Where a job involves details about health or other sensitive matters, we handle that information only so far as is necessary to carry out the cleaning safely and lawfully.
5. Who ever sees it
Enquiries from this website are delivered to our inbox by Resend, an email delivery provider that processes the message content solely to deliver it. The website itself is served by Cloudflare. Beyond providers like these, information is shared only where you ask us to (for example, liaising with your landlord, insurer or solicitor) or where the law requires it. Nobody gets your details for marketing. Ever.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry emails that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed jobs, including waste documentation, are kept for the period UK law requires and then destroyed.
7. Cookies
This website sets no cookies. There is nothing to accept, decline or manage.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where there is no legal reason to keep it, and object to or restrict how it is used. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged clearly here.
