Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply whenever Newcastle Bio Team ("we", "us") provides biohazard, trauma or specialist cleaning services, and whenever you use this website. By booking work with us or using the site, you accept them. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Quotes and booking
All quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote describes the work we have assessed at the time; if the situation turns out to be materially different once we are on site (for example, contamination has spread further than could be seen), we will tell you before doing any additional work and agree any change in price first. A quote is accepted when you confirm it by phone, email or in writing, and prices include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise.
3. Our service commitments
We will carry out the work with reasonable skill and care, using trained technicians, appropriate protective equipment and methods suited to the contamination involved. Hazardous waste we remove is documented and consigned through licensed waste carriers, and we provide the paperwork on completion. Where we say an area has been made safe, that reflects the checks described in your documentation.
4. What we need from you
We need safe access to the property at the agreed time, accurate information about the situation so far as you know it, and confirmation that you are entitled to authorise the work (as owner, tenant, landlord, agent or executor). If access is not possible at the agreed time, we may charge reasonable costs for the wasted visit.
5. Cancellations
You can cancel or rearrange a planned booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed start. For emergency callouts already in progress or teams already dispatched, we may charge for costs reasonably incurred. If you booked as a consumer without meeting us in person, you may also have a statutory 14 day cancellation right; asking us to start urgent work within that period counts as a request to begin immediately.
6. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed account terms in writing. For larger projects we may ask for staged payments, which will be set out in the quote. We may charge statutory interest on amounts that remain unpaid after the agreed date.
7. Liability
We carry public liability insurance and accept responsibility for damage we negligently cause while carrying out the work. We are not responsible for damage that already existed, for problems inherent in the contamination itself (such as staining or deterioration that cannot be reversed), or for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our work. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
8. This website
The content of this website is general information about our services, not advice for any specific situation, and we may change it at any time. The design, text and images belong to us or our licensors and may not be reused commercially without permission.
9. Complaints and governing law
If something is not right, contact us at [email protected] or on 0191 666 0378 and we will work to put it right quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute belongs to the courts of England and Wales.
